The hope was to be riding up till the point of leaving but with the house closing tomorrow and everything else going on i have spent the past day just getting it all done. Lots of goodbyes to do still and Trey and I said our goodbyes to the house today. It is not a home when it is empty so i think it sometimes makes it easier to walk away for a new start.

School ends Friday, summer will be here and it seems like the kids are very excited about it! i think the teachers are too but not sure they will say it out loud. I have a good solid schedule for June and July for Trey and he will have a great summer. I am working on just keeping steady and getting everything completed before i jump on a plane in less than 24 hours. Lots of fun.

The bike is packed, the panniers (bike bags) are packed, the small backpack with essentials is packed with everything charged and then tomorrow off the airport for Paris.

The Plan: Arrive in paris, transfer to train to Caen France which is in Normandy. I will visit a few days and then take a train south to hit the Camino de Santiago. In just over 11 days i should be 75% complete. I will give daily blog updates and plan to shoot a lot of photos. Hopefully i will keep in touch by wifi at cafe's and have a morning blog.

Thanks to all for the well wishes and lots of shoutouts to my Citadel class of 95 brethren, my Wade Hampton High school friends and all of my friends who have called. It is appreciated! Update planned on June 1 when i arrive in Paris! Buen Camino!
