So today is like the other days, simply put routine! I am getting up and getting rolling early and taking my morning rides and realizing how bad my legs are currently. That will change after 10 days of riding. Just base miles keep the thought that legs will get better as I go. It is interesting how the simple things effect our everyday. I didn't drink coffee this morning before my ride and about an hour into the ride I had a headache so I stopped on the return loop for coffee in TR. Headache gone in 5 minutes.

The return ride was peaceful. I did not see but 2 riders on the way out. A few more on the return but seems to be a lot of people walking and running on the goat (SWT for those that know I call it the Goat). Lots of squirrels and a snake were out and once again a few less fortunate residents of Greenville county.

On the return heading up the hill a few blocks from the shop I saw some black smoke. Its interesting to me when I see smoke this color because the first thing I thought was electrical fire and maybe car fire. There was a truck smoking as I turned the corner. Poor guy was trying to get the hood up but it was already so hot that it burned his hands. I called 911 and the guy across the street brought over a fire Extinguisher. I tried to put it out but it was all over the motor and deep under the hood. Fire department showed up a few minutes later and put it out but damn sad to see a guy standing there as his trucked burned up.

I will post a photo on facebook. Never good to see something burn up. Lesson for the day. We all have our ups and downs. Just remember there is always someone who starts off with a great day and one little incident ruins the day (and possibly the week). My day started with a bike ride. IT is a good day!
